Episode: 7 It’s time!
Hi Friends. Happy Friday and thanks for tuning into Pandocap. It’s been another busy week with earnings and some companies leading with surprising results which has helped the market rally.
We saw companies like Paypal and Twilio soar after earnings, driving the Nasdaq into the positive for the year and recouping its losses. I was excited to hear Beyond Meat's results as I took them public and know how hard the team is working to bring a healthy alternative to meat. They performed very well and were up 11% after their earnings. Another favorite that I personally believe had been undervalued since their IPO is Peloton. They ended up popping based on how much people are using their Peloton at home. I know that my instructor, Ally Love, was bringing joy to those who needed it during this quarantine. Finally, Lyft/Uber earnings were anticipated to have major losses but that didn’t stop the stock from having gains after reported earnings. I guess you can’t stop the gig economy.
Kicking off the markets we ended the week up.
Dow 455 pts up 2%
S&P 48 pts up 1.69 %
Nasdaq 141 pts up 1.5%
I have to say my feelings this week have been so mixed with seeing many in my community losing their job and unheard of numbers in unemployment. Then you have the stock market rallying and the Nasdaq recouping all their losses for the year. Finally, just coming to grips with the impact that this virus has had on loved ones. It’s an up and down roller coaster that we experience everyday but we must use the tools that we are equipped with and continue to move forward. Each of us has an opportunity during this time to use our talents and build upon them. If we push through this time and innovate, change the landscape and find solutions to build a new future, we can change the outcome. It’s time to leverage our strengths and work together to build something special. It’s time!

Tengo que decirles que mis sentimientos de esta semana han sido tan mezclados con ver a muchos en mi comunidad perder su trabajo y tener números desconocidos en desempleo. Luego tienes el mercado de valores que está funcionando tan bien y Nasdaq recuperado todas las pérdidas del año. Finalmente, entendiendo el impacto que está teniendo el virus a nuestros seres queridos. Son emociones que no se sabe controlar, pero debemos usar las cosas que tenemos para avanzar. Este es el momento de usar nuestros talentos y construir. Este es el tiempo para planear un nuevo futuro juntos, podemos cambiar el resultado. ¡Es hora de aprovechar nuestras fortalezas y trabajar juntos y construir algo especial! Es la hora.
